About Us

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Why we do what we do

We are a group of Christians who have made it our goal to help congregations improve their digital outreach. We love the Church of Christ and want nothing more than for local congregations to connect to their respective communities.

We have over 15 years of experience with digital outreach, and we want to use our skills to help your congregation. We believe that one of the best ways to evangelize is to deliver the never-changing Word of God in well-designed methods.

We use the marketing principles that the secular world has used for years (with great success) to promote the love of Christ and His message to a world that needs it now more than ever before.

Principles of our work

Love

Our number one goal is always the same: to use our talents and abilities to promote Christ and His Church, and we love being able to do that.

Consider it Done

Our signature ability is to handle all of the little details for our clients. You just tell us what you want the end result to be, and we can get you there.

Easy

We know that websites, design, and marketing can be confusing. We make it easy for secretaries, deacons, elders, and ministers to make their ideas reality.

Cooperation

We view ourselves as part of the congregations of our clients. We speak weekly with staff members to make sure things are just right.

Who we are

Wes Blankenship

Owner

Wes has worked for House to House/Heart to Heart and Polishing the Pulpit since 2002. He was originally hired to be in charge of the trash cans and picking up the mail, but as time went on, he picked up more and more responsibilities. Currently, he manages the digital aspects of HTH and PTP including web design, cloud databases, data backups, registration for various events, and more.

He began working closely with his home congregation’s website in 2014 and learned many valuable lessons. After learning from many mistakes, he developed workflows that allowed him to rebuild Hoover’s website and then expand his ability to help with other congregations.

He loves to spend time with his wife Pam (Short), his son Miles, and his daughter Maralise. Other hobbies include cooking, music, traveling, and mission work.

Pam Blankenship

Details Supervisor

After a few years of practicing real estate law, Pam was promoted to Momma in May of 2016.

She began working at WBWD soon after her son Miles was born, and she manages the online calendars for our clients. She loves reading the various bulletins we receive each week but sometimes gets confused about when Hoover’s fellowship meals take place as a result. As we say here, it’s always Fellowship Meal Sunday somewhere.

When not chasing Miles or Maralise, or updating websites for churches, Pam can be found curled up with a book or making a craft she recently found on Pinterest.

Iris Griffin Petty

Editor

Iris joined the team at WBWD in late 2018 and handles the posting of media. Much like preachers, she only works two days a week (just kidding guys!). Iris composes the emails that are sent to the respective members of our clients and makes sure that congregation’s media files are posted each week correctly and in a timely manner.

Previously, Iris worked with the Gospel Broadcasting Network (GBN) and assisted on projects for House to House/Heart to Heart and Polishing the Pulpit. She regularly does design work and video editing from her own studio in Georgia. Her online portfolio is located at siriehtstudio.com.
